
Adrianna Michell is a researcher, literary critic, and educator. She lives in Toronto with her two cats.
Adrianna is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto in the department of English where she studies disability and temporality in contemporary American and Canadian fiction. Her SSHRC-funded doctoral research considers how fiction deploys disability and time as entwined narrative features which in turn provoke ethical and aesthetic experimentation. Her academic writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Synapsis, Journal of Literary & Cultural Disability Studies, and Media, Culture, & Society.
She received her MA in Cultural Studies and Critical Theory and BA in English and Cultural Studies from McMaster University.
